10 Cleaning Tools Every Household Should Have

Cleaning is so much easier when you have the right cleaning kit. Whether you are running a cleaning company or a mom who would like to keep her house organized at all times, it is essential to have the most indispensable cleaning tools and equipment

Here’s a rundown of the most essential cleaning tools that we believe no home should be without.

1. A handy sponge

This is something that is very important to have. Sponges help in cleaning anything abrasive on most surfaces.  It is nice to have a classic sponge around but if you’d like to try out alternatives, you can try out sponge cloths, or spaghetti sponges ( It doesn’t even need soap!) or perhaps silicone sponges, it’s so heavy duty that will last for eternity.

2. White towels

Just like a handy sponge, this is also an essential. They always match with everything, you can see when they’re dirty, and you don’t have to worry about them losing colour when you disinfect them. It comes in handy as well when you’d like to clean your white walls or remove some smudge on your carpet or couch.

3. Microfiber Clothes

Microfiber cloths are so amazing they can pick up any dirt, no matter how small, and that too without requiring the use of much water. They’re also gentle to the surface, not leaving any scratches behind.  It is brilliant at cleaning counters or appliances, polishing tile or glass, even getting pet hair off clothing. Because it’s multicolor, you may easily assign a specific color to a specific area to use it for.

4.  Squeegee

Little, but oh so important! These cleaning tools are absolutely necessary to prevent mold from developing on your showers also for cleaning your windows and mirrors

5.  Bucket

A nice sized bucket can not only stow your cleaning supplies, but also be used for mopping and a multitude of other household tasks. Just pick one up in a local hardware store and you’re good to go!

6. Spray Bottles

Keep spray bottles on hand if you ever need to rinse something off with water. You may also use it to concoct your own green cleaning solutions. It’s also great to mist clothing before ironing, and to train pets to stay off the furniture.

7. Scrub Brush

You can do so much with a scrub brush. Use it to get tough stains out of car mats, off garage floors or cement patios. Clean flower pots and garden tools. Get soot off of your fireplace walls. Scour grout, clean garbage cans, get the dried-on mud off the bottom of your shoes. You get the picture.

8.  Toothbrush

For a more detailed cleaning than that of scrub brush, use a toothbrush. Just disinfect old toothbrushes and you can use it to work on grout, sink rims and all other nooks and crannies in your home. 

9. The Broom, Dustpan and Mop Trio

What better way to clean your floor aside from using these trio? If you have any hard surfaces like wood, tile, cork and linoleum then you will need these.

10. Vacuum

Whether it’s a Roomba or a Dyson or a sturdy workhorse passed down to you, you need one of these machines to keep floors clean and allergies at bay.
